The Committee is constitued by a group of owners in Spain worry about the course taken by the Palm Oasis resort, where we have buyed weeks for enjoying our holidays. We love the resort, buyed the weeks with illusion, want to go on enjoying them and aspire that our grandchildren, family and friends use them in the future.

The Committee does not depend on the Owners Community, and also has not any relation with or represent the interests of any company related with Palm Oasis. Our unique compromise is the defense of the owners’ interests, not only from the Spanish ones, but also from the rest of the countries. We have agreed to keep in contact, making plans in order to solve the problems, ask for help from the rest of the owners, from every nationalities, and coordinate all the efforts towards common objetives.

Since 2001, with the constitution of the first Owners Community, many problems have appeared. From the drastic increase of the maintenance fee to the degradation in the quality of the services, cleanliness and maintenance of the installations, only as an example of several deficiencies. A style has been established where the voluntarism and the absence of professionality have taken possession of the decissions to be taken by ourselves, the owners.

The elimination of the internal interchanges (or a probable payment for its acceptation) has annoyed most of the owners. When they were eliminated, we were explained that it was due to the absence of capacity given that the resort was at 95%, but a few months later the capacities “appeared” together with the idea of paying for interchanging our properties in the resort where we pay the maintenance fee. This is a good example of how the decissions are taken in the resort.

In the last Owners Assembly in November 2003, Mr. José María Larrañaga Gorriti, member of our Committee, joined the Directive of the Assembly in its condition as owner. Mr. Larrañaga defended there the interests of the owners, but his proposals were not considerated and decissions were taken that were already prefabricated before the meeting. We recognize that it is something positive that Mr. Larrañaga is in the directive of the Community, but we also know that this will not solve the problems. The support to our Committee is needed, from a big part of the weekowners in Palm Oasis, of every countries: this is the objetive of our Website.
